Not interested in any of this old player stuff, the last game for me will be about me saying good bye the the town i grew up in , the last walk from East Ham to the ground last pint in the Millers, may do a couple of other old haunts as well, and a Final fairwell to the Ground that i have visited so many times since 1968 and have so many memories of from over the years.

How many are they inviting? I expect the Boleyn will be a crowded house.

The fitting finale has been the football this season & wins over Chelsea, Spurs & Liverpool & hopefully Man Utd.
That'll do me rather than hanging about for a wank over a plastic seat before David Essex & Vera Lynn appear to sing Any Old Iron followed by the cast of Eastenders performing Bubbles on the spoons.
Onto the next game & the blessed relief of never travelling on the District Line ever again.

can we fit them all on a rag & bone horse & cart and get Jamie Vardy to steer it

I hope this is a joke. 450 players? Just hope something still riding on the game. The most fitting finale will be a proper game of football, not a Disney parade. If its tack, I'll give a quick round of applause, a soulful glance at the old place before heading for the exit asap.

At the same time I didn't want to move anyway, so I'll miss the fact we're not playing in a proper football ground anymore, as regardless of Upton Park and the surrounding area being a bit of a shit hole, you come to love the place after so many years.

Soulless bowl here we come!

I'm sentimental and will really miss the place, although I won't be able to hang about too long after because I need to get the boy home.

I reckon that last pre-match Bubbles is going to get me proper choked up.

I laughed at the end of the Champ because others were crying which I found amusing.

It's only a film!!!

I'll be in the pub 5 minutes after the final whistle.

Been there 450 times and I'm not sentimental about anything, so don't feel the need to hang about.

Be a right touch if 30k stay in there leaving the route to the bar nice a clear!

Re: Lampard, Ince & Defoe to be paraded at the last match Man Utd
I will walk in and watch a game of football featuring the club I have sipported and been going to see at Upton Park for 48 years. The game will finish, I will be extremely happy we have won or for 5 minutes be a bit pissed off we lost or drawn a game because of various factors during the match. I will then go home and enjoy the evening with my family.

I will not give a fuck about a building, it will not be 'poignant' and of course I would not ever dream of shedding a tear over a game of fucking football.

Man up all of you it's a just a fucking football ground, we are going to another one you know, West Ham are not dropping out of existance

Re: Lampard, Ince & Defoe to be paraded at the last match Man Utd
From Hugh:

It’s a huge relief to be able to reveal that a hologram of Bobby Moore will NOT be making it’s way across the Boleyn on the final day of the season.

There’s a very simple reason for this – the technology to create a walking image in these hi tech terms simply doesn’t exist.

Reports have been circulating for months that ‘Mooro will live again on the last day’ (SIGH) via the new technology but trust us it’s not going to happen.

We had a good look into the situation and have learned it is physically impossible to create a hologram that would walk across the pitch (the famous ones like Tupac and Golrillaz etc) have all been done on black background with a contained staging area.

The idea is dead as is the possibility of bringing in Iron Maiden to do a last day gig – quite simply because they are touring Australia.

So why are we relieved that there’s gonna be no hologram?

Mooro was the least fussy man in the world – he hated as he once put it “palaver,” and in a column we wrote in The Sport with him he told me: “Please let’s have no statues of famous people anymore – the best camera for memories is in our heads!”

The idea of seeing himself in the form of a hologram walking out over the Boleyn would have absolutely horrified the great man.
